Want an expanded unexpected experience? Come along to CLUSTER, a specially created club night for creative interventions. Mixing a diversity of music styles with digital performance, expect a cutting edge blend from DJs, VJs and MJ’s (Movement Jockeys) from Norwich, Colchester and London.

The line up in Norwich includes the regions’ hip hop stars Sureshot, visual mixers 2Bit TV, London’s eclectic DJ’s London Elektricity (Hospital), and the Neutrinos plus in the mix from Colchester and London, commissioned sound performance and audio/visual work including special guests Ambienttv.net  and Raya VJ’s.

CLUSTER will be connected to remote audiences at Colchester Arts Centre and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London for a three-way real-time exchange of live CellBytes – specially created sound, movement and image pieces – into and out of the NAC dancefloor. This part of the club night is a futuristic experiment trying out a realtime web streaming design for remote club connections. Come along and watch experiments in tele-presence happening in clubland.

Cluster is also providing a platform for the public announcement of the Future Physical commissions and productions exploring the creative use of digital technologies in theatre, gallery, installations, web and digital media environments. The Future Physical programme is coming to a venue near you between December 2003 and April 2003. Not to be missed.

The Future Physical Launch/Cluster is a Future Physical (shinkansen/east england arts),collaboration, hosted by Norwich Arts Centre, Colchester Arts Centre and Institute of Contemporary Arts , with funding assistance from London Arts, streaming media services from Groovy Gecko and in kind sponsorship from Cyberdog and Mr Blinky.
